Our 15 Fury Alert Days continue with a second day of below zero wind chills, which could be as low as -20° the rest of the day and into the night. 15 Fury Alert Days issued for extreme cold Temperatures are only in the single digits this afternoon Why you’ll no longer see ‘Wind Chill Warnings’ this winter Even though you've see sunshine out your window, it remains bitterly cold with dangerously low wind chill values. Limit your time outside and keep your hands and face covered. Wind chills are -10° to -15° during the afternoon Staying safe when it is bitterly cold outside Tonight remains another very cold night in the forecast with a low of -3. Clouds will gradually increase as we go through the early morning and this should help in preventing us from dropping lower on the thermometer. Our Wednesday morning remains dangerously cold with wind chills around -20°. However we move past the most intensely cold hours of the day by the afternoon with highs reaching the upper teens. Wind chill values increase to the single digits above 0° by that point. So, overall, Wednesday's conditions represent a big warm up from our highs in the single digits today, but it's still a very cold day. The sky becomes mostly cloudy on Wednesday. It will continue to be mostly cloudy, with warmer air flowing in from the SW, which will help keep temperatures up in the teens, from nighttime Wednesday into early Thursday. We'll see a continued increase in temperatures Thursday afternoon as highs will be in the upper 20s. High temperatures will be back in the 30s over the weekend and through much of next week with the potential to reach 40° by the middle of the week.
