COLUMBUS, Ohio (WJW) — They are the champions!
The Ohio State University football team arrived home in Columbus Tuesday after soundly beating the University of Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff national championship game the previous day in Atlanta.
Cuyahoga Falls renames street in honor of big OSU game
Head Coach Ryan Day (whose job was in question following yet another loss to Michigan earlier this season) and his team were seen exiting the airplane in the afternoon, with some people seemingly underprepared for the cold temperatures but still thrilled to be back home.

The team is hosting a free championship celebration at Ohio Stadium in Columbus Sunday at noon. All fans are welcome to come and celebrate the team's first national title in a decade.
Of course, this isn't the first fan gathering at the stadium in honor of the game. Following the team's 34-23 win Monday, Ohio State fans were also seen partying it up on the snowy field in Columbus.
