Trash collection in Bowie suspended due to belowfreezing temperatures

BOWIE, Md. (DC News Now) -- The City of Bowie announced that trash collection services have been canceled until Thursday due to below-freezing temperatures and severe wind chills.
In a post on the X platform just before 10 a.m., the city announced that trash and recycling collections will not take place on Jan. 21 and Jan. 22. This also includes special pickups and yard waste.

This comes as an arctic blast blew across the DMV, sending temperatures into the teens.
The city said all regular services will resume on Thursday, Jan. 23, and there will be no makeup days.
