NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officials with the Department of Transportation and Development are recommending drivers to stay off the road during the winter storm.
Meteorologists predict that about three to five inches of snow are expected to fall in parts of the state and higher amounts in isolated pockets.

They say that while there are designated priority routes being tended to throughout the storm, the routes are intended to help emergency vehicles to get to all areas.
