LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Firefighters in Laurel County, alongside additional crews, braved freezing temperatures Monday night to combat a house fire in the East Bernstadt community. Officials reported receiving notification about the fire around 8 p.m. Crews worked through the extreme cold for several hours to fully put out the flames. According to firefighters, no injuries were reported. However, the home was deemed a total loss. The American Red Cross is currently assisting the displaced family.
