NORTON, Mass. (WWLP) - A vigil was held Monday night in remembrance of a 6-year-old girl who died after being pulled from an icy river in Norton.
Missing 6-year-old girl dies after falling through icy pond in Massachusetts
Josephine "Josie" Pinto passed away on Friday an hour after her parents reported her missing. Searches were conducted across the street from her home at the Barrowsville Pond and Wading River.
She was found unresponsive, and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died. According to police, she had non-verbal autism.
Her funeral will be held on Friday.
