HONOLULU (KHON2) -- A cold front currently sits west of Kauai and is advancing towards Hawaii. Showers are expected to increase early morning for Kauai, and eventually to Oahu, Maui County and Hawaii Island. Some showers may be heavy at times. Drier weather returns Thursday through Saturday, with another cold front arriving on Sunday. Tuesday: Expect mostly sunny skies with a few afternoon clouds. Isolated showers are possible. Sea breezes will be strong. Wednesday: A cold front will move through, bringing showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Expect cooler temperatures and lower humidity after the front passes. Wednesday Night - Friday Night: Cool and dry conditions with large temperature swings. Some areas may see overnight lows in the 50s. Thursday: Kauai may experience some light showers. Weekend: Trade winds will return with warmer temperatures.
