UPDATE: MONDAY 1/20/2025 6:00 p.m. COLORADO SPRINGS) — One person is dead following a shooting in the parking lot of a King Soopers on Stetson Hills Boulevard. According to CSPD, a call came in to police shortly before 4:45 p.m. reporting a person had been shot at the King Soopers on Stetson Hills east of North Powers Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found one person dead of an apparent gunshot wound inside a car near the gas pumps of the King Soopers gas station. As of the press briefing at 5:45 p.m., a suspect has not been located or identified, CSPD said. While the suspect is still being sought, CSPD said it does not believe there is any threat to the community. The Stetson Hills entrance into King Soopers is closed, but customers can still get to the grocery store via the Tutt Boulevard entrance. The homicide unit is responding and the investigation remains ongoing. On Monday, at around 5:15 p.m., CSPD posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that officers were on the scene of a shooting in the King Soopers parking lot in the 5800 block of Stetson Hills Boulevard.
