SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– Veterans have a new place to call home in Sumter.
This morning officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Patriot’s Village.
Officials say construction on the 128 thousand square foot facility is nearly complete and they will begin accepting residents next month.
Patriot’s Village will house more than 100 beds offering both semi-private and private rooms as well as a memory care unit, large physical therapy area, a barber shop, and more.
Veterans can apply to live in Patriot’s Village on the South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs website.
