FARGO, ND (KXNET) — Just before 10 p.m. on January 18, a Fargo Police Department squad car was hit, but fortunately, there were no injuries. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 50-year-old woman from Fargo was driving a Dodge Journey west on 7th Avenue N when she ran a red light and hit the squad car. The crash happened at the intersection of 7th Avenue N and 25th Street N, which is where the Fargo police officer was patrolling at the time. The officer had gotten a green light at the intersection and was driving through when the woman disregarded the red light and hit the side of the squad car. NDHP was requested to investigate what happened. The woman was placed under arrest and is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (B Misdemeanor) and driving while license suspended (B Misdemeanor). Close Thanks for signing up!
