FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday night at a convenience store in Fond du Lac, where the suspect allegedly threatened a cashier with a knife before fleeing with cash. The Fond du Lac Police Department responded to a report of the robbery at R Store, located at 351 Fond du Lac Avenue, shortly after 9:45 p.m. Fond du Lac officials investigate strip mall fire, arrest 19-year-old suspect According to police, the suspect entered the store, pointed a knife at the cashier, and demanded money. No injuries were reported, and the individual escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. “Fortunately, no injuries occurred during this incident,” said Chief Aaron Goldstein. “We are now asking for our community's assistance in identifying the suspect whose image was captured on surveillance cameras at the scene. Your tips can make a significant difference in holding this individual responsible for their criminal actions last night.” The suspect is described as wearing black shoes, gloves, a mask, and a gray Under Armour sweatshirt. Efforts to locate the suspect included the deployment of a Fond du Lac Police drone and assistance from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit, but the search was unsuccessful.
