Salem residents joined thousands of Americans who gathered Saturday for the “People’s March,” an effort to protest the incoming administration of President Donald Trump, who will be inaugurated Monday for a second term.
The protest was an offshoot of the Women’s March in 2017 that drew large crowds across the U.S. at Trump took office for his first term.
The Salem crowd listened to speeches and marched briefly through downtown.
