A man was killed when his car caught fire when he crashed early Saturday on the Dan Ryan Expressway.The 30-year-old was driving southbound in a white Honda after fleeing a previous crash when he went up an embankment and hit a pole about 1:30 a.m. near 76th Street, Illinois State Police said.His car was engulfed in flames, causing him to be trapped inside, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.All lanes reopened about 4:40 a.m., police said.No other information was available.
