Barry Evans tallied 24 points and Earl Timberlake notched a double-double as the Bryant men’s basketball team dominated UMass Lowell winning, 85-62, on Saturday afternoon at the Chace Athletic Center. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 10-9 overall and 4-0 in the America East. Saturday marked Bryant’s first win against Lowell since transitioning to the Division I level. Bryant returns to the court on Thursday night(Jan. 23) when they travel to take on New Hampshire. Bryant would have five players finish in double-digit for the second straight game and the fifth time this season. The Bulldogs have been victorious in all of those contests. The Black and Gold would also provided smothering defense, finishing with 11 blocks and eight steals. Barry Evans led the Black and Gold on offense, with 24 points, coming up just one point shy of tying his career high. Evans would go 7-16 from the field and also had five rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Earl Timberlake (6-9 FG) logged his 34th career double-double with 14 points and 18 rebounds.
