HS Boys Basketball Wrap: Lawrence stays hot with OT win over DelVal

ANNANDALE — Andrew Tembo scored a career-best 21 points, Marvin McNeil finished with 20 and the Lawrence High boys basketball team stayed hot with a 65-62 overtime victory over Delaware Valley in the Hunterdon County Shootout at North Hunterdon High.
The Cardinals (11-4) have won six straight games, a stretch that has helped them clinch at least a share of the CVC Valley Division title. Jeff Molinelli’s side can win the Valley title outright with a victory over Princeton Day on Jan. 23.
Tommy Denvir had 15 points to lead four players in double figures for the Terriers (6-6).
Ewing 57, Donovan Catholic 41
BAYVILLE — Joel Cineus scored 14 points, Terrance Traylor had 13 and Kristian Thomas put up 13 to lead the Blue Devils (9-3) in a victory over Donovan Catholic (5-8) in a Jimmy V Showcase game at Central Regional High. Ewing has won six in a row.
Pemberton 66, WW-PS 65
PRINCETON JCT. — Keyon Dennis poured in 24 points and the Hornets (5-6) stung the Pirates (3-14) in a heartbreaker for the CVC club. Josiah Cureton netted 23 points and Cameron Jones had 20 for South.
Marlboro 54, Princeton 35
PRINCETON — Michael Bess Jr. had 16 points, but those weren’t enough to save the Tigers (2-10) from defeat as Cole Newman tossed in 21 to lead Marlboro (5-8) to the victory.
Howell 48, Hamilton West 39
HAMILTON — Nakye Bradshaw and Nore Martinez had 13 points each, but the struggles continued for the Hornets (1-14) as they fell to the Rebels (6-6).
Bordentown 52, Florence 36
FLORENCE — Chase Martin scored 18 points, Max Martin and Rahmel Caffee had 11 each and the Scotties (2-6) picked up a win over the Flashes (5-5). Leaire Williams led Florence with 12 points.
