Reading today’s (Jan. 11) Park Record, I read that another moose was killed on S.R. 224, a young moose. I am asking the Park City Council why there has been no movement within our city municipal government to save our wildlife from the increased traffic we all live with now. Instead of remodeling our historic Main Street, which was met with many negatives, how about moving forward  to install an overpass over S.R. 224 out by Osuthorpe’s Barn to provide our beloved wildlife safe passage? Leave our Historic Main Street intact, but let’s show our reverence and awe we all feel towards our wildlife trying now to survive in suburbia by giving them safe passage. The cameras on the bridge out on I-80 record the success of that crossing. Not only will a crossing bridge provide safe passage for our beloved animals, we will not have to have our hearts broken viewing the carnage out of 224.Kathryn Deckert Park CityThe post Focus on wildlife appeared first on Park Record.
