RIVER RIDGE, La. (WGNO) — Three people are dead following a double homicide and deputy-involved shooting that happened in the early morning hours of Saturday, Jan. 18.
According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a home in the 10000 block of Stephen Drive around 4 a.m. on report of multiple people having been shot inside.

"There's police cars and tape. And you all hear it? I've never seen anything like this," said neighbor Tom Eaton.
The early morning tragedy shook the River Ridge neighborhood after a 46-year-old man, identified as Glenn Bohne Jr., shot and killed his 40-year-old wife Dung Pham, and his 2-year-old daughter Amy Bohne.
He also shot his 13-year-old daughter and an unidentified 9-year-old girl. Sheriff Joe Lopinto explained that the 13-year-old hid and called 911.
"The 9-year-old is in critical condition. After undergoing surgery, the 13-year-old has a leg, gunshot wound and is expected to survive. Extremely tragic. We're certainly investigating and trying to figure out why in this case. But I can't imagine any reason why," said Lopinto.
Two arrested in nearly 6-month long drug investigation
Lopinto says as deputies worked to secure the home, they located Bohne.
"The suspect who ended up being the father and husband, inside of a back bedroom. He produced a firearm, and our deputies [fired] upon him and killed him at the scene," said Lopinto.
One neighbor tells WGNO he never heard arguing or anything unusual.
"They were pretty quiet people. I mean, I know them to say hi. They were nice enough people, and they never, and would never have expected anything like this. You know, kids are always outside playing, playing my granddaughter," said neighbor John Monnerjahn.
Eaton says he was also surprised and that this will live with the neighborhood a long time.
"I don't know what to think. It's a terrible situation. Some people just have mental illness, and this is how it plays out," said Eaton.
A prayer is held tonight for the Bohne family at St. Matthew the Apostle School, and in particular, for the recovery of the two girls.
Archbishop Chapelle High School also plans to have a prayer service for the children on the first day students return to school.
Law enforcement officials say the initial investigation indicated that the suspect had shot all four victims inside the house before being found and killed by deputies.
The incident remains under investigation. No further information was provided.
