In this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey, we asked Lions fans just two questions:
The Lions are a 9.5-point favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook. What will be the result?
The total on the game is 55.5 What will be the result?
We’ve seen the betting line at FanDuel Sportsbook bounce between Lions -8.5 points and Lions -9.5 points this week, but when the Lions and Commanders fan bases were asked, the higher spread was represented.
Let’s take a look at how each fan base voted:
The Lions’ fan base is very confident, with 91% of them believing the Lions will win, and 53% believing they’ll cover the large spread. The Commanders’ fan base also believes in their team, but just over half (53%) voted that they thought Washington would pull off the upset, and 11% are expecting them to lose by two scores.
Nationally, 63% of the NFL audience picked the Lions to cover the spread—a common trend this season:
As for the second question, the Lions and Commanders have the largest Over/Under line in the divisional round at 55.5 points, but with such a large target, it’s not overly surprising to see both fan bases with a near-even split on the betting line.
