CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The Clovis Rodeo will be coming back in less than 100 days and there will be many exciting things for this year.
If people are planning to attend the rodeo, plan to have good food, see good entertainment and of course the rodeo.
Mark Thompson with the Clovis Rodeo Association says they have something going on every weekend in the month of April.
Thompson says they start out with the Ranch Rodeo on the first weekend of the rodeo, where local talent compete for saddles. The second weekend is jackpot roping and the third weekend is the queen competition. The last weekend of the month is rodeo weekend.
"A lot of Western heritage that has been going on for 100 years and is a family event. We do our best to keep ticket prices down. We don't charge to park and the best bargain out there is the tri-tip sandwich," Thompson said.
This year's rodeo will have three concerts, on each day there will be a different artist performing. On Wednesday, April 23, Tucker Wetmore will be performing. On Thursday, April 24, Dylan Scott will be taking the stage and George Birge will be singing on the last day of the concert series of April 25.
After each performance, there will also be a drone show.
The Clovis Rodeo will be from April 23 to April 27. For more information, click here.
