EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) announced a new comptroller and budget director on Friday, Jan. 17. Briones has previously served as an accountant, financial analyst and auditor in private and government sectors, YISD said. According to the district, Briones is also a licensed certified public accountant and earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Jessica Moreno has been appointed to serve as budget director and has previously served as the district's budget coordinator, YISD said. Jessica Moreno appointed as YISD's budget director. Photo courtesy of YISD. Moreno began her career with YISD in 2002 as a budget clerk at Riverside High School, YISD said. Moreno has also served as a budget specialist, budget amendments clerk and a clerk in the Federal and State Programs department, YISD said. According to the school district, Moreno earned her bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies and a master's degree in business administration from UTEP.
