BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Kern County sheriff's deputies arrested two brothers on Thursday while attempting to locate a wanted man. Joe Garnica, 40, and Alonzo Garnica, 33, were arrested in the 25700 block of Riverside Street Jan. 16 after one of the brothers fled from deputies and barricaded himself inside the home. Deputies said they were able to negotiate with Joe, who surrendered after 20 minutes. KCSO located two loaded firearms inside the residence and arrested the brothers under suspicion of felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, participation in a criminal street gang, conspiracy and resisting arrest.
