Military spouses receive photography training by local nonprofit

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A local family is set to help military members, this time by offering free advanced skills training as professional photographers to several military spouses around the nation.
At no cost, ten spouses participated in the online courses to continue their education and develop professional photography skills to help launch their careers from anywhere they are stationed.
"Having to reinvent yourself everywhere you go is a huge challenge in the spouse community," said portrait photographer Eric Stegall, founder of non-profit Portraits for Patriots. "So when you get through our course, we're going to make you really, really great photographers. We shoot to a standard, not to a price point."
The training is a self-paced, comprehensive online program developed by Stegall. His nonprofit has chapters near U.S. military installations stateside and overseas and delivers high-end, portfolio-quality images at no cost to service members transitioning from military to civilian life, military spouses, and Gold Star family members.
Each photographer in training has committed to providing a social impact service in their military community as Portrait for Patrios photographers, donating their time and skills.
