BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A woman who was initially arrested on suspicion of murder in connection to a shooting in Oildale -- but was charged with lesser offenses -- has pleaded no contest to a burglary charge, court records show.
Dallas Bradshaw entered the plea Wednesday and a conspiracy charge was dismissed, records show. Her sentencing is set for March 17.
Investigators say Bradshaw and Luis Villachana on Aug. 29 arrived at a home on Olympic Drive where he questioned residents about a motorcycle he said belonged to him.
Suspect arrested in death of former KHSD police chief Steve Alvidrez
Armed with a gun, Villachana threatened residents and fired shots that killed Ruth Ann Cummings as she pulled up in an SUV, according to court documents.
He's facing charges including murder and two counts of attempted murder.
Villachana is set for a competency hearing Jan. 29. If found competent, the case against him will proceed. If not, criminal proceedings will be suspended and he’ll be sent to a state hospital where efforts will be made to restore him to competency.
