EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Oscar Renee Sandoval, the man accused of fatally shooting his wife back in April 2024 in Mesilla, New Mexico, was found guilty of first-degree murder and aggravated assault, according to the Doña Ana District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Manhunt for man accused of fatally shooting his wife ends in Juarez As KTSM previously reported, on April 1, 2024, Sandoval, 59, shot and killed his wife Shiereen Al-Jibury, 39, on University Avenue. Sandoval also threatened a witness with a gun and fled the scene, the DA's Office said. Sandoval's vehicle was found in Sunland Park, and he was later apprehended in Juarez, Mexico on Tuesday, April 9, the DA's Office said.
