FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The motorcyclist who died after crashing into a tree south of Fowler on Saturday has been identified by the Fresno County Coroner's Office.
According to CHP, on Jan.11 around 3 p.m. they responded to a report of a vehicle that collided into a tree near Dinuba and Fowler avenues in Fresno County.
Officers say a motorcyclist, identified by the coroner as 55-year-old Mike Wasson of Fresno County, was traveling eastbound on Dinuba Avenue west of Fowler Avenue when he veered to the right, colliding directly into a tree.
Investigators say Wasson was pronounced dead on scene.
CHP suspects the rider was suffering from a medical episode prior to the crash, however, the coroner's office says they cannot confirm at this time.
