EASTON, Mass. (WPRI) — A 16-year-old girl is in stable condition after being shot in the face at an Easton apartment complex Tuesday afternoon. Police were called to the Avalon Easton Apartments on Robert Drive following a 911 call reporting the shooting. Witnesses said the suspects fled in a black SUV before officers arrived. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: Easton teen hospitalized after being shot in face The victim was flown to a Boston hospital with life-threatening injuries, but is now listed as stable, according to police. Two vehicles have since been seized: one in Mansfield and the other in Brockton. Massachusetts State Police arrested an 18-year-old Brockton man for possession of a firearm. The two incidents are believed to be connected to the shooting, though no charges have been filed yet.
