New Orleans vehicle crash leaves man dead

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a vehicle crash that left one person dead and three people injured on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
The NOPD reported the crash happened in the 1700 block of Gentilly Boulevard around 10:41 a.m.

NOPD officials said an initial investigation shows that a woman was driving a Hyundai south on Gentilly Boulevard when it crossed the median and entered the northbound lanes.
According to the NOPD, a Ford truck heading north driven by a man with two passengers inside then collided with the Hyundai.

The driver of the Hyundai, the driver of the Ford and its two passengers were taken to a hospital, where the driver of the Ford later died.
The NOPD did not provide additional information.
