Off the Hook: Brook trout preservation fly tying symposium
Jan 15, 2025
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Stormtracker 8 Meteorologist Matt DiNardo was joined by a special guest in the WRIC NOW livestreaming studio today to talk about the preservation of brook trout as well as an upcoming fly tying symposium.
DiNardo spoke with guest Jordan Ross, founder of JP Ross Fly Rods & Co. Outdoors and Trout Power, about a five-year plan to preserve brook trout in several areas of upstate New York. He also invited people to join him at a free fly tying symposium happening on March 23 up in Oneida County, N.Y.
This is not the first time Ross has visited the livestreaming studio -- he talked with DiNardo about fly fishing in the Adirondacks in September of last year. Learn more about Ross's conservation efforts by clicking here.
“Off the Hook with Matty D” is part of WRIC NOW’s livestreamed programming. Tune in to next week’s show at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
