Two men were found shot, one fatally, after a vehicle crashed into a garage Tuesday night in Andersonville on the North Side, according to officials. Around 9:15 p.m., officers found a 26-year-old man in the street with gunshot wounds to his shoulder and neck in the 5400 block of North Ashland Avenue, Chicago police said. The 26-year-old told officers his vehicle was in an alley, according to police. Officers found the vehicle crashed into a garage and a 21-year-old man inside with a gunshot wound to the head, according to police and Ald. Andre Vasquez (40th). The unidentified man was pronounced dead on the scene. There were no reports of shots fired in the area, so it is believed that the shooting itself may have occurred elsewhere, according to a statement from Vasquez. Paramedics treated the older man and took him in critical condition to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said. Area 3 detectives are investigating and no arrests have been made.
