FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The Fresno Fire Department's Hazmat team responded to a home in Fresno after someone used a bug bomb inside their residence Wednesday. Fresno Fire says just around 2 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters along with the department's hazardous materials (Hazmat) team, were called to a home where an individual was experiencing severe respiratory distress. According to firefighters, the incident occurred after the resident used a bug bomb inside their home, which led to a buildup of harmful chemicals in the air. Firefighters say upon arrival, they and paramedics assessed the resident's condition and quickly began providing treatment. The Hazmat team then entered the home with specialized protective gear to mitigate any hazards. The resident was treated and then transferred to a hospital for further evaluation.
