INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — At least one person was shot during an incident near a northwest side Starbucks early Wednesday morning.
Online police reports show an incident involving a “person trouble with” happened just before 5:45 a.m. at Starbucks, 5710 W. 86th St.
That’s in the Trader’s Point shopping complex near a Michael’s, Books-A-Million, the Trader’s Bar and Grill, and several other restaurants.
The run first appeared as an attempted robbery but was later updated to a person shot, followed by a “gunshot scene unsafe.”
It was unclear how many suspects there were or how many were shot. IMPD says that the person shot was a male and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
News 8 photographer Jeff Clayton was at the scene and said officers blocked off a section of the parking lot in front of the neighboring Michael’s, Books-A-Million, and PetSmart buildings.
IMPD says a public information officer will provide more details shortly.
