PLAINSBORO — Marvin McNeil and the Lawrence High boys basketball team announced themselves as a serious contender in the Colonial Valley Conference. McNeil scored 13 points, including the game-winning shot with three seconds left in double overtime to give the Cardinals a thrilling, 68-66, victory over previously undefeated West Windsor-Plainsboro North on Tuesday night. Noah Johansen led Lawrence (9-4, 4-0 CVC Valley) with 21 points and Josh Wilson also scored 13. The Cardinals won their fourth straight game and are in control of the CVC Valley Division with two games left to play. Malachi Jeffers-Viera netted a game-high 28 points and Ryan Jean-Baptiste had 20 for the Knights (11-1, 2-1 CVC Valley), who were off to their best start in program history with 11 straight victories before Tuesday night’s heartbreaker. Notre Dame 68, Princeton 49 LAWRENCE TWP. — Will Foley poured in 23 points, Josh Gatete added 21 and the Irish (6-6, 1-3 CVC Colonial) got out to a 26-10 start and never looked back against the Tigers (2-8, 0-3 CVC Colonial). Michael Bess Jr. led all scorers with 28 points for Princeton. Hamilton West 63, PDS 52 HAMILTON — Nakaye Bradshaw scored 21 points, Sean Turner had 19 and nine rebounds and the Hornets (1-12, 1-2 CVC Valley) finally got to celebrate a victory as they knocked off the Panthers (4-6, 2-2 CVC Valley) to end a 12-game losing streak to begin the season. Gary Jennings netted 16 and Adam Stewart tallied 12 for PDS. WW-PS 48, Steinert 39 HAMILTON — Josiah Cureton and Kokulnath Ramasamy had 12 points apiece and the Pirates (3-12, 2-2 CVC Valley) bested the Spartans (1-10, 0-3 CVC Valley). Anthony Santucci led Steinert with 13 points.
