LOWELL, Mass. (WWLP) - Police took a Lowell man into custody last Friday, identifying him as a gang member wanted for his involvement in a local drug trafficking conspiracy.
Darasy Chhim, 39, was charged by indictment alongside 14 co-conspirators in 2021 with conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute heroin, cocaine base, fentanyl, MDMA, 500 grams or more of cocaine, and 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Chhim evaded arrest for over three years until Friday when he was found inside a home in Lowell by Lowell police officers and FBI Boston officers.

Court documents state that Chhim was allegedly a member of the One Family Clique street gang, which distributed illicit drugs around Lowell, as well as other areas in Massachusetts, Virginia, and California. They allegedly trafficked dangerous drugs like fentanyl and methamphetamine in large amounts, and Chhim was alleged to be a leader within the gang.
The One Family Clique members were reported to also engage in money laundering, firearm trafficking, acts of violence against rival gangs, and other criminal activities.
The charge of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute heroin, cocaine base, fentanyl, MDMA, 500 grams or more of cocaine, and 500 grams or more of methamphetamine provides for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, at least three years and up to life of supervised release and a fine of up to $1 million. The charge also includes forfeiture of assets traceable to or involved in the alleged drug distribution offense.
