Update 4:36 p.m.: The Riley County Police Department posted on social media that law enforcement was able to successfully coral the cow. MANHATTAN (KSNT) - The Riley County Police Department (RCPD) is warning the community about an animal on the loose. The RCPD posted on social media just before 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14 that a heifer is on the loose near the Manhattan Country Club. The department advises that residents use caution while traveling in the area of Tuttle Creek Boulevard and Ehlers Road and North Manhattan Avenue. Flint Hills Discovery Center names new director Police say they are aware of the situation, and are working to get the animal to safety. The Kansas State University Police Department shared on social media that the department is also aware of the situation, and working with RCPD to return the heifer back to its home at K-State.
