(KRON) – Restaurant, bar and live music club Mama Kin has informed patrons the establishment has closed its doors after two and half years. Per Mama Kin’s website, the San Jose restaurant offered the perfect trifecta of food, drinks and live entertainment.​ The establishment was in the Downtown SoFA District. Restaurant owner Andrew Saman posted on the company's Instagram a heartfelt message.  Bay Area taqueria chain closes after 15 years “If there was more I could give there would be no need for this post,” said Saman. “However, we must face the reality that some things are just out of our control. So with an extremely heavy heart we are closing our doors to Mama Kin.”  Saman did not expound on the factors that the restaurant could not control. However, Saman noted the eatery has a “fantastic community.” Saman said, “We want to thank you for all the support and love we received for Mama Kin." The exact date of closure was not mentioned. However, the Instagram announcement was made on Monday.
