EASTON, Mass. (WPRI) — A teenage girl was rushed to the hospital Tuesday after being shot in Easton, according to police.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., officers said they responded to Robert Drive, where they found the victim in the parking lot of the Avalon apartment complex, suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.
The victim, an Easton resident, was treated by Easton fire personnel and transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. She was then flown with serious, life-threatening injuries to a Boston hospital. Police said her condition is currently unknown.
A preliminary investigation indicates the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.
No arrests have been made, but police believe the victim and suspects were known to each other. They said it is likely a targeted, isolated incident, and that the investigation is ongoing.
Officers also responded to related scenes in Mansfield and Brockton.
