(WANE) - A man accused of shooting someone five times during a December fight in front of a southwest Fort Wayne home is now charged with attempted murder. Sincere White, 18, also faces charges of aggravated battery and criminal recklessness. The shooting on Dec. 5, 2024 started out as a fight in the 2200 block of Colgate Drive, police determined. The argument involving 10 people sparked over money people came to collect, and according to newly-released Allen Superior Court documents in the case, a teenage girl was shot five times and taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition. A witness told police in court documents it appeared the girl had a gun as well, and White took her gun after allegedly shooting her. Someone shot White in retaliation as he allegedly ran from the scene. White was found near Weisser Park about an hour later and treated at the hospital for his injuries.
