Coming off a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks last week, the Spurs were hoping to end their three-game losing streak by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers. However, they would have to wait until Monday in LA due to the tragic wildfires. Their Saturday game got postponed, but Monday’s game would go on. This game was a tale of two halves. After the Lakers took a nine-point lead at halftime, the Spurs outscored the Lakers by nine to tie the game at 89. Then, the Spurs dominated the fourth quarter. They played excellent defense and outscored the Lakers 37-13 en route to a 126-102 victory. Victor Wembanyama had an excellent all-around game with 23 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks.
