FOREST ACRES, S.C. (WOLO)– The Forest Acres Police Department (FAPD) is investigating 6 fires that occurred last night in the Area of Old Mill Circle and Lakeview Circle, off Trenholm Road, say the department.
Officers say between the hours of 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday, January 13, dispatch received reports of multiple residential trashcans on fire in the area.
In addition, bales of pine straw at Forest Lake Gardens were also set on fire. No injuries or structure damage was reported.
The investigation is ongoing but law enforcement has identified a juvenile suspect.
FAPD encourages anyone with additional information or a video to contact FAPD detectives by calling 803-782-9444.
“We are very thankful that no one was injured and the fires were contained before any structures were damaged. At this time, we can share we believe this an isolated incident. The juvenile suspect identified is not from Forest Acres. We are asking residents to check their cameras and provide any additional video footage that may be helpful to contact our offices,” says FAPD Chief Don Robinson.
