POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY (KSNT) - The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office have new information about a fatal wreck that happened last week.
The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office posted on social media Monday, Jan. 13 that Mary Miller, 22, of Wamego has been identified as the driver of a Ford Fusion involved in a two-vehicle crash just after 6:45 a.m. Jan. 10.
According to the post, law enforcement determined that was driving a Ford Fusion eastbound on Highway 24 near Schoeman Road, outside of Belvue, KS. The vehicle lost control due to icy, snowy road conditions and crossed the centerline into the westbound lanes.

The Fusion struck a GMC Sierra driving westbound on Highway 24. The driver of the Sierra was taken to Wamego Health Center, where they were treated with minor injuries. Miller was transported to a Topeka Hospital by Pottawatomie County EMS with serious injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
