WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Forsyth County Sheriff's Office announced multiple charges in connection to a shooting outside of a high school last month. At a Monday afternoon press conference, the agency announced several arrests in connection to the shooting outside of RJ Reynolds High School on Dec. 10, 2024. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said they worked in conjunction with the Winston-Salem Police Department, the Forsyth County District Attorney's Office and the US Marshal's Office to locate the suspect. In the shooting, a male high school student suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. The student was taken to a hospital, where he was last reported to be stable. The shooting reportedly followed a fight, Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough said at the time. "What the public doesn't see, since this happened in December, is the amount of work law enforcement put into this," District Attorney Jim O'Neill said. According to the FCSO, Jonathan Emmanuel Dallas, 18, of High Point, was charged with felony conspiracy to commit felony assault and felony inciting a riot. He was given a $500,000 bond. A 22-year-old man from Winston-Salem, Moises Lobato Ocampo, was charged with two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses and two counts of misdemeanor possessing stolen goods. Three juveniles were also charged: A sixteen-year-old juvenile from Winston-Salem, has been charged with two counts of armed robbery A sixteen-year-old juvenile from Winston-Salem, has also been charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of felonious assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, one count of felony possession of weapon on educational property and one count of felony inciting a riot. He was given no bond. A seventeen-year-old from Winston-Salem has been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit felony assault. Superintendent Tricia McManus stated none of the juveniles were students enrolled at Reynolds High School. “It’s always challenging when you’re dealing with juveniles. It’s always challenging when you’re conducting an investigation. There’s so many moving parts to an investigation. What I will tell you is that we will spare no expense in time to make sure that we do get it right and we bring that justice,” Kimbrough said. “If you commit a crime of violence in or around our school system, I can promise you that the men and women in law enforcement will work day and night to bring you to justice and the district attorney's office will spare you no quarter,” O'Neill said.
