NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — You can make it.
You can bake it.
And you can take it home to eat.
It's King Cake School and WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood is ready to move you to the head of the class.

The class is at NOCHI, New Orleans Culinary and Hospitality Institute.
The professors at this cake academy are Martha Gilreath from Nolita Bakery who says making a King Cake is a labor of love.
"It's definitely more time-consuming. Each recipe is different so that makes it more complicated," said Gilreath.

And Matt Haines, who wrote two books about king cakes, "The Big Book of King Cake" and "The Little Book of King Cake."
They'll be team-teaching two classes coming up at NOCHI.
