MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) - Manitowoc Lutheran High School held a special dedication ceremony on Sunday for the newly built gymnasium. The project was planned pre-covid, but ultimately did not break ground until October of 2023. Community trying to save Menominee Park train "We ran into delays but the goal was to have more space to do the variety of sports and other activities that we have," explained the high school's Director of Mission Advancement. The gymnasium was completed a year later and a couple varsity games have been able to take place in the new gym. Buch told Local 5 that although the project was a long time coming, the community has shown immense support, and the students have shown so much appreciation and excitement for the new facility. "When we have an opening of a facility like this, for us, it's a little more important," he said. "It's really more than just a high school. We use the term Lancer family a lot." Officials all over Wisconsin treated to kind gifts on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day There are a few more decals that will be put up in the new gym in the coming months, including a big metal cross, and possibly a video board. In the meantime, Buch said this is a great thing for all the students, staff, and community members to enjoy.
