Eagles Report Card: Birds bounce back by blanking Raiders
Dec 14, 2025
PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles needed just 2 hours, 33 minutes to wash away a three-game losing streak, blowing out the Las Vegas Raiders 31-0 Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. The defense held Vegas under 100 total yards while the offense hummed.
Granted, the Raiders (2-12) are godawful, but the Bird
s were overdue for a win like this. Here’s how the Eagles (9-5) graded out by position group.
Quarterbacks: A
Jalen Hurts, often operating from under center, rebounded from a rough outing last week with a poised showing, completing 12 of 15 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns with zero turnovers, guiding the offense efficiently all day. His decision-making and timing were back on point in a bounce-back performance, and he ran the ball seven times for 39 yards.
Running Backs: A
Saquon Barkley provided steady production on the ground, finishing with 78 rushing yards and a short touchdown before being pulled when the game was out of hand. He helped extend drives and keep the Raiders off balance. Tank Bigsby pitched in with 57 yards.
Tight Ends/Receivers: A
Dallas Goedert was a focal point of the passing attack with six receptions for 70 yards and two scores, while A.J. Brown added a 27-yard touchdown grab to cap the scoring. DeVonta Smith had a 44-yard reception, and rookie Darius Cooper had two catches for 44 yards.
Offensive Line: A
The line gave Hurts clean pockets and opened enough running lanes to establish balance early. With key veteran Lane Johnson out, the group maintained cohesion (and kept Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby mostly in check).
Defensive Line: A
The Birds overwhelmed Las Vegas up front, generating constant pressure and finishing with four sacks, including a pair by Brandon Graham, and nine QB hits. The Raiders’ offensive line never found footing.
Linebackers: A
The linebackers flowed cleanly to the ball, erased underneath throws and helped bottle up the run. They limited Pro Bowl tight end Brock Bowers to 28 yards on six catches. Running back Ashton Jeanty finished with just 35 rushing yards.
Cornerbacks/Safeties: A
The secondary blanketed Las Vegas receivers all afternoon, contributing to a shutout while forcing turnovers and limiting big-play opportunities. Assignment discipline and coverage execution were standout elements of the dominant defensive outing.
Special Teams: B
Jake Elliott was automatic on his field goal attempt, and the kicking game helped maintain scoring momentum. Punt and coverage units were effective, though there was little volatility.
Coaching: A
Nick Sirianni and his staff dialed up a comprehensive game plan that balanced aggression with control, particularly on defense. Much needed adjustments from recent offensive struggles showed up right away and continued throughout.
