HENRIETTA, N.Y. (WROC) –Family and friends of a local woman who has ovarian cancer will be hosting a benefit for her and her family Sunday in Henrietta at Nashvilles on W Henrietta Road. Lindsey Wright is a mother of 16-year-old twins. Wright learned in 2021 she had ovarian cancer. She endured two major surgeries and six rounds of chemotherapy. In September 2023, the cancer returned and advanced to stage 4, and spread to her liver. "Despite enduring another eight rounds of chemotherapy and taking daily treatment pills, the cancer is now resistant, more aggressive, and spreading," those closest to Wright said. "Her latest PET CT scan revealed that the past year of treatments unfortunately did not work. Though her cancer is deemed incurable, we are praying so hard to at least extend her time." The benefit will also include basket raffles and 50/50 ticket raffles. Admission is $25 at the door which includes a pasta meal. Live music will be performed by Audibull, Daze End, and Carly Kristen. Money raised will go towards Wright's medical expenses and daily living expenses to support her family. For those who are not able to attend but would still like to make a monetary donation, they can do so via the Venmo QR code or reach out to Trina Alessi.
