UPDATE: All lanes of traffic along Gateway East at Trowbridge have reopened after a vehicle fire Saturday afternoon, TxDOT said. Gateway East was closed for about five hours. The exit from I-10 East to Trowbridge has also reopened. EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Two people have been transported with serious injuries after a vehicle caught fire on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 11 in East-Central El Paso, according to the El Paso Fire dispatch. The call came in at 3:47 p.m. Saturday at Gateway East and Trowbridge, dispatch said. The fire is also impacting traffic in the area. Vehicle fire at Gateway East and Trowbridge. Dispatch has not released any other information about the injured persons at this time. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) said all lanes are closed at Gateway East and Trowbridge and motorists should detour at Yandell. The exit from I-10 East at Trowbridge is also closed because of the fire, TxDOT said. The clearing time of the incident is until further notice, TxDOT said.
