ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man who tried to meet up with a minor for sex last year will be spending less than a year behind bars. Back in October, Bernalillo County sheriff's deputies arrested 28-year-old Rafael Rosas for attempting to meet up with a 15-year-old girl for sex.

The girl Rosas thought he was communicating with online was actually an undercover detective. Rosas took a plea deal last month, pleading guilty to one count of child solicitation by electronic communication and meeting with the child.
Rosas will spend nine months in the Department of Corrections. He will also need to register as a sex offender for 10 years once he gets out.
