Tracking Patchy freezing rain tonight Cold start of the week Mostly dry next week Isolated showers are currently moving through northeast Kansas, with a mix of rain and freezing rain expected to continue into the evening. Accumulation is expected to be minimal, but be careful on the roads as slick spots may develop. Patchy fog is also likely in the early morning hours, which could reduce visibility. Stay alert while traveling tonight and early tomorrow. Sunday, afternoon highs should be climbing just above freezing into the middle 30s for a couple hours. Combining that with some sunshine and we will start the slow process of melting even more of our snowpack. However, this is short lived. Another wave of cold air is expected to move in late Sunday night, dropping temperatures to single digits with subzero wind chills. This cold blast will last through Tuesday, with highs only reaching the mid-20s. Following the cold, a gradual warming trend will bring temperatures into the low 40s by Friday. It looks like a dry week ahead. KSNT Storm Track Ashton Rizzo
