Photo by Justin Sullivan/Getty ImagesThe wildfires currently happening in Southern California have resulted in the deaths of at least 10 individuals and caused significant damage to the area. Over 150,000 individuals have been instructed to evacuate their homes, and numerous buildings have been demolished. As firefighters continue to fight the fires, authorities have stated that dangerous fire weather conditions will continue for the next few days and are advising residents to take necessary safety measures.
As of January 8, the Pasadena Humane Society had taken in over 300 animals, including many with burns and injuries. They continue to work tirelessly to rescue, shelter, and provide medical care for animals affected by the wildfires. They are still in need of monetary donations, which may be made at give.pasadenahumane.org/fire
In addition to the Pasadena Humane Society, the following is a compilation of organizations that are currently accepting donations to aid in the relief of wildfires:
American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles
California Community Foundation
California Fire Foundation
LA Fire Department Foundation
