NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) -- The Bristol County District Attorney's Office is investigating after they said a 27-year-old was shot and killed inside of a business early Saturday morning. Just before 1:30 a.m., the New Bedford Police Department was called to Morna Lounge on Acushnet Ave. for a report of a shooting inside the establishment. When they arrived on scene, police found three people who had been shot. All the victims were then taken to St. Luke's Hospital. Two victims, both only identified as women in their 20's, were treated for their injuries. The third victim, identified as 27-year-old Cristiano Macedo of New Bedford, was pronounced deceased shortly after his arrival at the hospital. The homicide is under investigation by Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, New Bedford Police and Homicide Unit prosecutors.
